This weekend MacKenzie's gymnastics team had their one and only Tulsa meet. Thankfully Nana watched the babies and we were to go and just watch in peace! The girls are NOT ready for gymnastics meets. Going to a gymnastics meet and trying to get decent pics is a difficult feat. The lighting is awful and I don't have a quality low light zoom lens. But the memories are here nonetheless.

MacKenzie tied for 3rd all around and her team got 3rd place.

so maybe next week, i'll get some shots of the other two... :)

This week MacKenzie had her Pigtails & PJs party. The girls had a blast.  Picture overload here...

By the party's end, I was worn out...BUT I'm glad my girl had a great time.  Happy Birthday MacKenzie!

This weekend MacKenzie turned 10!  Double digits.  We didn't really celebrate on her birthday as we are planning a birthday party for next Monday - A Pjs and Pigtails party.  We did have a bit of a girls day out just the two of us, thanks to my mom who watched the girls for me.  The morning of her birthday her daddy brought her a Wii game and a birthday card which was great, because I honestly hadn't purchased anything at all for her.  I forewarned her, but she didn't believe me.  After dropping off the twins, we went to Krispy Kreme (her fav) and then went to the Bank got 10 $10 bills and then went shopping.  I also forewarned her that $100 doesn't get you much these days.  I must say, she made her (10) tens last.  We left with goodies that she picked out and paid for herself and she had about $35 left over.  That evening, she went to her friend Sydney's (they share a birthday) birthday party at Laser Quest.  She had a fantastic day.  Now that it's been a few days, I'm almost getting used to having a child that's double digits.  It feels just a bit odd though.

As part of my 52 Week Project I am also doing a Me and Mine 12xs.  I absolutely know there is no way I'll be getting KT in pics twelve times and I don't want use up my once a year formal pictures, so I'm going to start the year  and may even finish the year with just me and the girls.  If we get him in at any point...it'll just be a bonus!  LOL

Setting up for this, I had NO IDEA how much fun the girls would have doing this...and look...they are budding photographers.  They LOVED this! I've never been able to get them to smile for pics...They loved helping set the timer and then running to our spots.  Nia prefers hand held though. :) 

Yes, we all look a mess, but it's us.  The REAL us...food on faces...hair uncombed...missing pants....and all!

My favorite shot this week has been this one captured on Sunday.  MacKenzie and Nia had a sweet moment!

2011 - 52 Week Project

So I failed the 365 but I'm hoping to maintain the 52 Week Blog this year!   Here's to lots of picture perfect memories in 2011.
